Happy February!
Can you believe we have already mowed down one month of 2011? Yikes!
Today we had our monthly meeting of YAYA and we discussed One Tuesday Morning by Karen Kingsbury. Those of us who read it enjoyed it, but many shied away from it for its content.
The Tuesday morning referred is that fateful day of September 11, 2001 when the Twin Towers in New York City fell. Everyone knew this would be a bit of a sad book (there is a lot of sorrow still regarding that horrific day. Did you see Remember Me? Pass a hanky please!)
Sometimes, folks just avoid that kind of painful read - especially young people. I personally thought it was a little predictable and somewhat forced to get the plot to come together. Still enjoyed it though.
Our next YAYA read will be Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. I need a werewolf to love!
